Hi! I would like to get to MK rope drop next week. Park hours are 7:45-9am, ticketed event (not extra magic hours), regular open is 9am. When will rope drop be?

    Hi Rose!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show! I usually have trouble getting my family out of bed in time to see it, but I saw it recently with my fellow panelists Kate and Missy and it is a great way to start a magical day. The time for each day's Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is listed on the right side of the show's webpage. While times are always subject to change, I took a look at the schedule next week for days where the park is opening at 9:00 a.m. and where there are no Extra Magic Hours and currently the show is scheduled to begin at 8:40 a.m on those days. If you are not interested in viewing the show, but you are interested getting in to the park as soon as possible, I recommend that you proceed to the tunnels on the side of the entrance to get a better spot for the actual "rope drop", rather than right in front of the railroad station. Your view of the show will not be as good, but you will get into the park slightly earlier!

Please let us know if you have any other questions. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
