Hi there, Angela! Welcome to planDisney!
Your cruise is coming up shortly, and I’m so excited for you! The 6-month mark is usually about the time I start to get giddy about my Disney cruise, because I know that very soon it will be time to start preparing for it! I’ve sailed both as a Concierge Guest and as a non-Concierge Guest with Disney Cruise Line many times, so I’d be happy to share my experience to help you decide if Concierge is the right upgrade for your sailing.
First, I’ll say that genuinely, sailing both as a Concierge Guest and as a non-Concierge Guest will provide you with an amazing Disney Cruise Line experience. No matter what, you can
always expect that top-notch Disney Difference, such as
Rotational Dining, Broadway-style shows, Character Experiences, personalized dedication from a Dining Team and Stateroom Host, and activities for all ages in your group.
But sailing as a Concierge Guest provides a few added luxurious benefits. Those pixie-dusted benefits are:
- Priority Boarding: Concierge Guests have the first Port Arrival Time of the day! This is one of my favorite Concierge benefits because it ensures you get a full first day on board your cruise since you board in the morning, usually at about 11:30 AM.
- Larger Stateroom: If you need a stateroom that can accommodate more than 5 guests, reserving a Concierge Suite is the only way to accommodate larger parties in the same stateroom. For me, this has been a deciding factor when choosing to reserve a Concierge Stateroom during a sailing.
- Dedicated Concierge Team: While Disney Cruise Line is known for its dedicated and personalized care, Concierge Guests receive an extra level of dedication in the form of a personal Concierge Team who handles all activity bookings and personal questions from home, before you even set sail.
- Priority Booking: Concierge Guests are able to book onboard activities before other guests. This is especially helpful for larger groups, or for popular offerings such as Palo Brunch or Cabana rentals (I’ve easily reserved a Cabana at Disney Castaway Cay as a Concierge Guest), or during shorter sailings where there are generally fewer offerings due to the shorter cruise length. On your 3-Night cruise, this could be a factor if you want to ensure a reservation for a more popular activity.
- Upgraded Amenities: This is always subject to change and could vary from sailing to sailing. Some upgraded amenities I’ve experienced include different pillow options, robes and slippers, and spa-quality toiletries.
- Concierge Lounge Access: This is another one of my favorite Concierge features. It feels extra luxurious to have a lounge where we can go for a snack, coffee, cappuccino, or any beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a light meal, or soda during the day and evening hours. Plus, the Concierge Lounge on board the Disney Wish also has an attached Concierge Sun Deck for outdoor lounging!
All of these premium amenities and services take an already perfect Disney Cruise Line vacation and turn it into an even more perfect one, by adding even more luxury!
Angela, I hope I was able to offer guidance. I wish you the most luxurious memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Seas the Adventure,
Rana
