Is it worth time&effort spent to have bfast at Chef Mickey's the day AK visit (EMH til 9)?  I'm concerned about Tusker bfast experience for my 8y DD & have read wonderful reviews about CM exp, that I'll be sad if I don't take her.

I know it’s difficult to choose between all of these enticing experiences. I think you would be happy at either meal.

The Tusker House is a beautifully-themed restaurant. Characters are usually Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey. Kids join them in a musical “parade” around the restaurant. Dining here would be very convenient for an Animal Kingdom touring day.

Chef Mickey’s is one of our favorite restaurants. I love waving my napkin and singing “Celebrate with Mickey Mouse” but the restaurant isn’t nearly as attractive as the Tusker House. The monorail running through the resort is very exciting for children, however.

Now, if you really do not want to miss Chef Mickey’s, consider that you will not need an entire day from opening until a 9 p.m. closing to see the Animal Kingdom.

    You could:
1 - have an early 7-8 a.m. breakfast seating at Chef Mickey’s prior to going to the Animal Kingdom
2 - enjoy a quiet morning and maybe sleep in a little, have a late seating meal at Chef Mickey’s for a brunch and then travel to Animal Kingdom by Noon
3 - consider a Chef Mickey breakfast on the morning of your departure.

If the Tusker House restaurant fits better in to your family’s plans, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.  You will be seeing some of the same characters too.

If I can help you any further, just let me know!
