    Is it worth it to pre-purchase cruise photos? And if so, do you really need more than 10? Thanks!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are so excited to hear that you are CRUISING THIS WEEK with Disney Cruise Line! I hope you get your response about Photography before you leave in a few days. I have used Photography services numerous times onboard, and I have found the pictures to be high quality, priceless heirlooms that in my household become canvas pictures, custom photobooks and the subject of our yearly family Christmas cards. The best pricing is found by booking your packages online as you can often save up to 15% or more. Deciding on the number of pictures is difficult and may vary per family. Once a year I make sure to get the CD that includes every single picture, and then we go crazy flagging down photographers and taking pictures. On our last CD we logged almost 300 photos! For the amount we paid, I felt like the value was well spent. On shorter cruises, we bypass the CD and choose a small package. For cruises shorter than 5 days, I found that 10 pictures are just fine. If your family hates to strike a pose, then forget the CD and go straight to the 10 picture package. No matter what you choose, I hope that you and your pirate family have the best vacation ever.
