Is it worth the money to stay at a hotel on the monorail?? Thanks :)

    Hi Brittany!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Ha! This is a question I ask myself every trip. My opinion and answer has changed over the years as my family has grown. And every Walt Disney World vacation, I still reevaluate whether it's the right decision for our family.

If I had the option and budget to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel on the monorail, I absolutely would. We spend most of our time in Magic Kingdom Park, so it makes sense for us. At Disney's Contemporary Resort, the monorail goes right through the hotel! My kids think this is the coolest thing ever. I also love it, because you can walk to Magic Kingdom.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite. I just love the tropical vibe, the beach, and the pools. I can also walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center to hop on a monorail to Epcot. If you have smaller kids, then these transportation options are lifesavers.

However, if you think you'll be in the parks from open to close, then I would probably save the money and stay in a Value or Moderate Resort. One of the reasons I enjoy staying in the Deluxe Resort hotels is to enjoy the extra amenities they offer and to take breaks during the day or have a resort day to relax.

I hope this helps, Brittany. Whichever Disney Resort you choose, the Disney magic will be there! If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon.
