Is it worth getting a pool view room at a moderate resort; specifically riverside? My reservations are for this coming August and I got a Royal Guest Room pool view. Would the garden view be nicer? We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ages 1,3,9)

    Hello Genyth,

I am delighted to hear that you have chosen Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It is my absolute favorite moderate resort. I love the peaceful southern charm and winding trails amid the trees and water. I think you will really enjoy your stay there.

In regards to the view you choose, I am bit more partial to the garden views, as those tend to face the inner courtyards and are a little more quiet. While a pool view room would give you slightly quicker access to the smaller satellite pools, I find they can be slightly noisier when excited children return from the parks for an evening swim. When we have traveled with toddlers, as I see that you are, my husband and I prefer not to be near a pool so that those pool squeals of delight don't keep our kids up in the evening. However, the choice is ultimately up to you. The "views" from both are quite nice with the large trees canopies and the nicely trimmed lawns and flower beds. Do keep in mind that ultimately the "view" is a request and cannot be guaranteed, and is based on availability upon arrival.

Enjoy your stay in the Royal Guest Rooms. I do not think you will be disappointed with the amazing attention to detail in those princess themed rooms. May your vacation be filled with laughter, magic and fun. It will be here before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpiallidocious!"
