Is it worth the extra money to stay on property? Im trying to plan a trip to WDW in May and want to save money where I can.

    Hi Wyatt,

The Cast members at Walt Disney World go to great lengths to make your stay a magical one. So,
the answer to your question is not an easy one, because there are so many factors to consider. But here are the benefits of staying on property. First, Extended Theme Park Hours-which means only resort guests get access to the parks for a few extra hours some days before/after the general public. This is a great benefit to maximize your park hopper option, .Secondly, Complimentary Airport Service is available to take you directly to your resort once you get to the airport. You don't have to handle your luggage, because it will be delivered to your room for you. Third, Complimentary Resort Transportation to and from everything on the resort. This is probably the one "perk" that will make your decision. Disney bus transportation will take you virtually any where you want to go within the resort.   The Disney Dining Plan is the final "perk". I love it.  It's one less out of pocket expense to worry about, because you pre pay with your vacation package (tips not included). If you can make your dining reservations in advance, you may find that it guides your day in a direction that forces you to keep somewhat of a schedule. It's just very convenient to know you are counting backwards with your meals and snacks , rather than calculating your expense upward from your pocket. The cons for Dining plan? I don't have any!  For more info check out www.disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/benefits/resort-transportation. Have fun!
