Is it worth doing the PhotoPass? And how much does the PhotoPass CD run if you would like to purchase it. The website never even gives you a ballpark figure and I don't want to waste my time taking extra pictures if the price is outrageous.

    Hi Genevieve,
Thanks for your question. To answer it in one word-absolutely! It is definitely worth using the PhotoPass service at any of the theme parks! Reason number one is that the service itself is free. Another reason I say this is that even though digital photography allows us to now snap pictures like crazy, you never know if the PhotoPass photographer is going to grab that one shot that is just that little extra bit special. It has happened to me on every trip. Even though individual print pictures are quite pricey (about 14.95 per print), I enjoy being able to add the custom borders around the rim of the photo. Again, I only usually buy a maximum of about 5 pictures from each trip (I have gotten better at capturing my own memorable shots), but the price is worth that one shot that I may have missed but the PhotoPass person got. As for the CD, a photographer at Chef Mickey's told me that if you buy the CD, which is $150 by the way, you get the copyright to every photo on it...even ones that you cropped or edited and added to the batch. You may not upload your own photos, but each one that you add with edits counts as yours. So if, for example, you had 130 photos from your trip on the site, and then you added a few borders to some, and then added a few more that you zoomed in on, etc., you would own all of those photos. Just be sure to edit/add all photos BEFORE you order the CD. From my most recent trip in December, I almost sprang for the CD, but in the end, I only really wanted about 4 of the pictures, so I opted for individual prints. Either way, I hope you or they capture some memorable photos of your trip!
