Hi there! Is it worth doing the online check in? Is it not better to try your luck with asking for a great room/upgrade personally?

    Hi Paulo:

Online check in is usually available 10 days in advance of your stay. The big benefit to online check in is that it can help speed up the check-in process at Disney Resorts. When you check-in online before arriving at the Resort, you provide your party's names, address, contact information, any room requests (based on availability), and a credit card for room charges. When you arrive at the Resort, you will look for the signs directing you to on-line check in at the front desk. You will have to wait on line, if there is one, to pick up your welcome folder and Key to the World card (your room key with charging privileges), but theoretically, the line, if any, and the check in process should move quickly since information was already provided during the on-line check in process beforehand.  So even with online check in, you are still "checking in" at the front desk with a live person to pick up your welcome packet and Key to the World card.  It's just that the checking in process should be shorter with online check in.

Room requests are not guaranteed. If, upon checking in, you are not given your preference, it may help if you are flexible with your check in time and can wait until the right room opens up. Disney will try to accommodate any requests, but it may not be able to do so.

    Enjoy your vacation.
