Hi Hazel,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!
Although we love breakfast at
The Crystal Palace any time, we do our pre-park opening breakfast reservation at
Be Our Guest Restaurant. Doing so gets us behind Cinderella Castle before the Let the Magic Begin show. We typically do our breakfast reservation for 8:00 a.m. so that we can be done by 8:45 a.m. and in the standby line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before the park officially opens at 9:00 a.m. Be sure to keep checking
Park Hours for the dates of your visit.
We also love pre-park opening dining reservations at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot and Tusker House Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom. I have learned to check the Park Hours periodically before our trip to make sure that there are no changes to early morning Extra Magic Hours. On our last trip, early morning Extra Magic Hours appeared for Disney's Hollywood Studios close to Toy Story Land opening. So, I cancelled our Hollywood & Vine reservation for 8:00 a.m.
Hazel, your strategy is a good one. Keep checking those park hours, consider your restaurant options and the restaurant locations before making a decision about your breakfast reservation!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
