Is it worth buying the vacation insurance?

To purchase or not to purchase vacation insurance, that is the question?

Well, it depends on just why you might need to possible cancel your vacation abruptly. If there is an event that you believe may come to pass, such as school, work or other possible important obligations, then I would likely make the purchase to cover all bases. I would just make sure to carefully review the insurance policy. Read the whole thing over to make sure it covers what you need covered and you understand your obligations ahead of time should you need to cancel your vacation.

Vacation insurance can be used to cover some unexpected matters also, including lost and delayed luggage. We had insurance the one time this happened and it really saved our trip.

I am a firm believer in the motto 'Piece of mind has a value.' If you will be more at ease before the vacation knowing that should something happen, you are protected, then by all means purchase the policy. However, they can be expensive and are usually unnecessary. It really depends on you and your level of comfort.
