Is it worth bringing bikes when camping at Fort Wilderness to help get around the resort? Are there bike racks at the pools, boat pick-up, dining, etc?

    Howdy Renee!

In short, YES! I recently had the opportunity of staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and without a doubt, it was wonderfully convenient to have our own transportation! While it's not an absolute necessity due to internal buses that operate to take guests to all of the locations you mentioned in your question above, you will typically have some wait time at each bus pick up point. While the motor coaches do mosey on by frequently, it's just oh-so-nice to be able to snag your bicycle and be on your way quickly. Especially when you factor in the usual need for some waiting at the theme park attractions and for water launch pick up. Sometimes, you just want to be on your way, feeling the wind in your face as you pedal past deer and other wild life.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! Wishing you a magical vacation at the Fort!
