Is it worth it to bring a 6 year old to the candlelight processional?

    Hi Danielle:

This is a very good question, and perhaps one of the toughest I've been asked about Disney World vacation planning.  The answer will all depend on your particular child.  I have a five year old who loves music and spectacles and would be able to sit through the show and enjoy it.  I have a four year old who is extremely different and I know would get antsy within 10 minutes.

The Candlelight Processional, the story of Christmas accompanied by an inspirational orchestra and chorus.  Each night there is a celebrity narrator.  Certain narrators are more engaging than others.  The show lasts about 45 minutes, and can be tough for a six year old to sit through the show at the end of a long day and remain engaged.  That being said, I've seen kids in the audience who have been able to enjoy the show without getting too antsy.  A young child who is "compliant" and enjoys music would have a better chance of making it through the show without a meltdown more than a more "spirited" or easily distracted child.

Given the above, think about if your six year old would enjoy the show before committing.
