Whats worse in 2025. Princess marathon or Mardi Gras? Feb 22-March 3rd, or March 1st - 9th? We will go to park 5/6 days and likely the Mon-sat. Can't decide which week. ANother option is 8-16 but worry about spring break. Thanks!

Hey there, Christine! Although I fully subscribe to the mantra "There is no bad time to go to Walt Disney World Resort," there are magical times and even more magical times.

runDisney weekends draw large crowds of athletes and supporters. But when I am there for the races, we eat dinner at 3 p.m. and head to bed early. (Those 2:30 a.m. alarms are brutal.) So, normally, you will find the crowds light in the mornings and evenings during runDisney events. However, the 2025 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is February 20 - 22, and Presidents Day is February 17. I know several school systems are out for Winter Break this week. A holiday week and runDisney might be some serious competition beyond the Start Line.

Personally, I would look at the beginning of March. Mardi Gras may draw more locals to EPCOT in the evening, but I think it will have fewer kids on school vacation than Presidents Day week. Another tip: look at the theme park tickets. Right now, they are slightly cheaper for the first week in March than for Presidents Day week.

Have you seen the special offers for early 2025? No matter when you decide to go, I would start my search for a resort reservation here.

And as you plan your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, know you have a friend in planDisney!
