    Hi Erin!

We've been many times over the Columbus Day weekend the past several years, and there IS a crowd increase, but not HUGE crowds (of course I'm comparing it to the Christmas crowd levels).  If you aren't wanting to deal with crowds at all, I'd steer clear of Epcot in the evenings on the 9th and the 10th.  World Showcase gets quite busy (but...like I said, manageable).  Magic Kingdom will be busier, but again manageable.  If staying on property, take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours in the morning, then head over to another park (if you have park hoppers).  I would definitely do Magic Kingdom first thing on Friday though--for me seeing the castle tells me our vacation has finally begun!

    Have a magical vacation!
