Worried that I will miss out on adr for CRT, taking 2 girls 4 and 6 in late 9/2010. Is there another experience that is close to that one? Also what is a good restaurant in MK for non character dinner...kids are not at all picky

    Victoria:

I can understand your angst about getting a seat at Cinderella's Royal Table.  If you don't get a reservation on your 90-day out mark, it's tough to get into!

But I have to share a secret:
there are some other restaurants that have more princesses and one features Cinderella in a more prominent role!  Two come to mind:

    • 1900 Park Fare:  Located at the Grand Floridian, this dinner, in my opinion, offers more interaction between Cinderella and patrons than at the castle where, at dinner, Cinderella is only in the lobby.  An added plus: Prince Charming!  He and Cinderella dance together and with guests.  The hits of the party? The wicked stepsisters who are hilarious!  The food gets mixed reviews, but there's a lot of variety for picky eaters, and the desserts are always a hit.  My fellow Disney Mom Tanya went on a recent trip with her boys, and one was chosen to dance with Cinderella!  (You might want to visit her through her bio page and ask about her experience!)
    • Akershus:  Found in Norway at Epcot, this restaurant boasts LOTS of princesses not just one!  You might see Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, or Ariel and several others!  The dinner fare is closer to authentic than some would like, so if you don't want salmon, lamb or pork shank, go at breakfast!
As for a restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, I personally love The Plaza Restaurant.  It's salads and sandwiches are so fresh and their desserts could practically be a meal themselves!  If you're looking for best value: Cosmic Ray's.  Our family can split three of their combo meals, and the rotisserie chicken and ribs with mashed potatoes and out-of-this-world green beans are not your usual burger fare!
    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
