Welcome BACK, Jenna!
Thank you for asking so many great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're all so excited to help you have the Best! Vacation! Ever!
Of all the included perks that come with staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel, I love evening Extra Magic Hours most. I'm a night owl, and there's just something so special in seeing Mickey's House lit up under the stars, and also the wonderful nighttime reflections that dance in the various lakes. Here's an official published
list of the attractions that are open during EPCOT's Evening Extra Magic Hours. But, I'm actually typing this on an "
Epcot EMH" night, so I opened up the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, which offers real-time data, and took copious notes about everything else. Ready?
Year-round Dining Locations: In all of Disney's Theme Parks, Table-Service and Quick-Service dining locations close in phases, so as the night parties on, you'll have fewer choices. The first locations suspend their service around three hours before that park's listed closure time. The good news here is that on Evening Extra Hours nights, the first locations to close do so around 8:00 P.M. And even better news, and I found at least four locations that are open until the very end. So the best advice that I can offer is if there is a location that you have your heart set on, to get there earlier in the evening, or check its hours now as the webpage for each individual dining location will list its operating times during Extra Magic Hours. But to ensure you won't go hungry or have to do too much resEARch, here are some examples based on what I saw tonight:
~ Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue = 8:30 P.M.
~ Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie = 11:00 P.M.
~ Yorkshire County Fish Shop = 10:30 P.M.
~ La Cava del Tequila = 10:00 P.M.
Limited-Time Festivals, such as the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival or the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival: The Outdoor Kitchens, Global Marketplaces, and Food Booths all open at 11:00 A.M. and do close at the same time as regular park hours, which are usually 9:00 P.M.
Shops: The majority of these are open all night, and close at the same time that evening Extra Magic Hours end. However, the few exceptions I saw tonight were the Mitsubishi Department Store in the Japan Pavilion that closed at 10:00 P.M. and the Art of Disney store in the USA Pavilion that closed at 9:00 P.M.
And lastly, do note that other forms of entertainment, such as Character meet & greets as well as World Showcase cultural performers such as bands and the group who balances on chairs do not appear during Extra Magic Hours.
I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Jenna, and We'll See You Real Soon!
