Hello!! We will be going to world Disney for the first time. We are going from march 27 to April 3. My sons birthday is on April 12. So the trip is to celebrate his 4th birthday. Can you give me some tips and ideas on what to do for his birthday. Thank you

Hi Marcela - thank you for coming to the Moms Panel for assistance in planning your first Walt Disney World vacation!  We are happy to help!

The first thing you'll want to do is be sure to mark the celebration on your resort reservation.  Your son will be presented with a Birthday Button upon check-in which will make him feel super special when everyone wishes him a Happy Birthday.

You may want to consider a special dining reservation.  Does he have a favorite character?  There are various character meals located throughout Walt Disney World.  Another fun option would be Chip and Dale's Backyard BBQ located at Fort Wilderness.  You do not have to be staying at Fort Wilderness to enjoy this event.  Whatever you decide, be sure to record the birthday celebration on this reservation as well.  You can research all the dining options here.  If you select a table service to celebrate, you'll have the option to order a birthday cake when you check in for your reservation for an additional cost.

Another popular activity to consider is a visit to the Pirates League for a pirate makeover. And if you want to take that up a notch, you can finish your day with the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage!

As you can see, the possibilities are endless depending on your budget.  You can see more ideas for celebrating here.

I hope your son's birthday is truly magical!  Diane
