Hi there, Kristy!
Welcome back! I'll let you in on a secret: the World of Color Dessert Party is my absolute favorite special event happening in the parks right now. Not to mention the fact that it is definitely the best possible view of the show. I'm so excited that you have reservations to attend!
World of Color - ONE is a nighttime spectacular like nothing else at the Disneyland Resort. Imagine stunning fountains, lasers, and other effects paired with powerful music and clips from our favorite stories, all built around the idea that one person can make a huge difference. It's wonderful! Because viewing areas for this show are standing only, the World of Color Dessert Party offers the best and most relaxing view of the show. For special dietary requests, just make a note when you're making your reservation! On the day of the party, you'll check in with a Cast Member at the Eureka water wheel near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. When your party is checking in the Cast Member will ask about any special dietary requests for your group.
Being the planner that I am, I would also consider
reaching out to the culinary team that manages dietary requests over e-mail. It certainly isn't required, but a little extra communication never hurts! You can contact them at Special.Diets@Disneyland.com but make sure you have already made your reservations and it isn't more than 14 days before your visit so that they'll be able to help you. Having attended this particular party several times myself, I know that the Cast Members have been great about managing food allergies and diet restrictions.
Make sure that you notice the arrival time for your party because it's earlier than the World of Color show! I like to go a little earlier so we have time to sit and enjoy our food before the show starts. Another good detail to know is that your ticket also includes an adult beverage for guests who are age 21 and older. Each adult in your group will need to provide a valid form of government identification to verify their age, and for international guests the only accepted identification is an original passport. So if you want to say "cheers" at the party make sure you've got identification with you!
I will share that I was surprised at how cool the weather was when I was at the
Disneyland Resort last November! You never know how the days will go, so I recommend taking some layers and renting a locker to store jackets and sweatshirts if the afternoon warms up. Locker rentals are for the whole day, so it's a great option for storing purchases and swapping out a warmer layer when you need to. World of Color can sometimes be a little bit misty, especially if it's windy, so you may want a jacket that is water-resistant for the show. I've never been soaked, but I've certainly been chilly!
Kristy, I hope your group loves the World of Color Dessert Party. It's the perfect way to end a magical day in the parks! If you have more questions feel free to
send a note along and I'll jump in to help. Your vacation is just over the horizon!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
