Hiya, Dawna, and welcome to
planDisney!
I always love helping my fellow Californians, so let’s get started! I can’t wait for you to experience
the magic of World of Color… it’s such a beautiful nighttime spectacular! Fun fact: Did you know that the “stage” for World of Color in Paradise Bay is almost one acre and longer than a football field?! Now that’s what I call a stage!
So, in order to experience the best vantage point
to view World of Color, the roped-off, reserved viewing areas are your best bet. Additional viewing can be found around Paradise Bay on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to enter the reserved viewing areas, you’ll need to have one of the following:
--A valid virtual queue selection for World of Color
--A valid voucher from a
World of Color Dining Package or
World of Color Dessert PartySo, if you choose not to purchase a Dining Package or Dessert Party, then you’ll want to use the
virtual queue system on your
Disneyland app. Distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment begins at noon daily. If you’re able to make a virtual queue selection, you’ll receive a notification from the Disneyland app to enter the World of Color viewing area from one of two marked entrance points about 45 minutes before the show begins. If the virtual queue reaches capacity before you’re able to secure a spot, you can visit the Paradise Bay viewing area shortly before World of Color begins to ask a Cast Member for any walk-up viewing availability.
Two of my planDisney pals recently experienced the World of Color Dessert Party, and they said it was amazing! They said the desserts and drinks were delicious, and you couldn't beat the location they were seated at. So, in case you change your mind, this could be a great option, too.
I hope this information helps you find the perfect spot to watch this awe-inspiring show, Dawna! Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
