Hi Sharon,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Christmas gets a lot of love, but
Halloween Time is my favorite season at the Disneyland Resort. There are so many exciting entertainment offerings during this spooky time of year, and I’d be happy to help you navigate what’s available for your haunting enjoyment!
This year, there will be no Villains version of World of Color. Instead, Disneyland is continuing the
70th Anniversary celebration by showing
World of Color Happiness! While that might be a bit of an Oogie Boogie bummer, there are still some fantastic entertainment alternatives.
Mickey’s Trick and Treat will be returning to California Adventure. Over at Disneyland Park, the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade will be taking place. The spooky fun continues after the sun goes down! On select nights,
Halloween Screams will light up the skies. If you can’t snag a spot in front of the castle, I highly recommend watching from “It’s a Small World”. It’s also a great place to catch the
Paint the Night parade and
Tapestry of Happiness. There is a lot to look forward to, so I am sure you will find something that piques your interest.
As you plan your Halloween Time visit, please note that on nights when the
Oogie Boogie Bash is scheduled, California Adventure will close early to guests without event tickets. On those days, the park will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for guests with a general admission or Park Hopper ticket.
If you have a one-park ticket, I recommend spending that day at Disneyland to maximize your fun. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, I suggest starting your day at California Adventure, then hopping over to Disneyland after 6:00 p.m.
I hope this information was helpful, Sharon! If you have more questions or would like tips for your upcoming adventure, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to add a little extra pumpkin spice magic to your Halloween Time planning.
Happy Planning!
