Rhonda from OR Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Is the "World of Color" show standing only or are there sitting areas? Same question for the Fantasmic Show. Is there not a Cinderella's Castle restaurant? There is one at Disney World and I thought that there used to be one at Disneyland?

    Hello, Rhonda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad to hEAR you are planning on taking in all of these wonderful entertainment offerings at the Disneyland Resort.

For the World of Color and Fantasmic! nighttime spectaculars, most of the general viewing areas are set up for standing. Complimentary Disney FASTPASS selections for these viewing areas can be obtained from the FASTPASS distribution points set up for each show. Or, if you have Disney MaxPass added to your tickets, FASTPASS selections for these shows can be made from within the Disneyland app.

If you prefer viewing options for World of Color and Fantasmic! that are seated, you are in luck. Both of these amazing shows feature options for preferred viewing areas that allow guests to sit.

Fantasmic! Dining Packages are available that not only offer great views of the show but that also usually allow guests to be seated on the ground at the edge of the Rivers of America. The best of these options is for guests who choose dining at the Blue Bayou Restaurant. If you would like a seat in a chair, the Premium Fantasmic! Dining Package is an upgraded option available at River Belle Terrace. You can enjoy your delicious barbecue dinner and the show from your dining table on the restaurant patio.

World of Color also has an amazing seated option. The World of Color Dessert Party gives guests the VIP treatment. This is my family’s favorite way to take in the amazing show on Paradise Bay. The experience starts well before the show when guests are led to exclusive tables set on a high terrace with an excellent view of the bay. The most scrumptious sweet treats, cheeses, breadsticks, and beverages are yours to enjoy. Soon, the lights dim and the show begins. Since your belly will already be full of wonderful dessert options, you can now sit and relax in your chairs while the wonderful World of Color fills you with awe.

While Sleeping Beauty Castle doesn’t house a restaurant such as is found in Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy Disney Princesses at the Disneyland Resort. For an extra special Princess experience, you can’t beat the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose.

Have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Rhonda!
