Hello, I am working on planning a trip to Disney world and considering staying off-site. If I stay off-site would I be able to visit the resorts for shopping and ordering quick service meals?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Torri!

I have enjoyed several off-property visits in all my visits, and we had a great time! I can only imagine the excitement you must feel just knowing you will get to create some Walt Disney World Resort memories that will stick with you.

Yes, you can visit the resorts to look around and grab a bite in any quick service or table service restaurants. Please note that if you choose a table service location, be sure to make your dining reservations to avoid a lengthy wait. Did you know you can participate in one of the fun recreational activities at each resort? I am all about unique experiences; for example, there is a Horse Drawn Excursion - Carriage Ride at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. What a way to explore the grounds of the resort! Shopping is one of my favorite past times, so you will find that the resorts possess a fantastic array of items that will not only fit any budget, but you can always find what you desire.

When you arrive at the resort, be sure to let the cast member at the gate know what you are there for, and they will let you know how to proceed. If you plan to visit the theme parks, be sure to park in the available theme park parking lots. I hope this helps.

Please let us know if you have additional questions; we are happy to help.

    Have a magical time!
