Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer! With four theme parks, two water parks, and dozens of Resort Hotels, there is a lot of ground to cover at Walt Disney World Resort so it's smart to start planning your transportation ahead of time. I'm happy to walk you through all the different ways you can get around while you're on vacation.
Getting from your Resort Hotel to the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs is super easy with
complimentary bus, boat, and monorail transportation. These types of transportation typically operate 45 minutes before park opening and up to an hour after the theme parks close. While there is no direct Resort to Resort transportation, it is easy to use one of these options to get to a theme park and transfer to a connecting mode of transport to get to your destination. If you're traveling this way for a dining reservation, in my experience it's best to give yourself an hour and a half or more to travel between Resorts.
If you need to get somewhere fast or you have a reservation before or after the complimentary transportation is running, you can always use a
Minnie Van or another ride sharing service to get you where you need to go. A Minnie Van can seat up to six guests including two car seats for the Mouseketeers, and a regular rideshare vehicle can usually fit five people so keep that in mind when you're considering transportation for your party of eight.
Have a magical day, Jennifer!
