I worked as a chamber maid in my youth so I tend to tip housekeeping well when I travel. My question is do the same housekeeping staff clean the same room each day or are they different. I am trying to figure out if I should tip daily or at the end.

Hi Lori, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Can I say that I just love that you’re thinking of the fabulous Mousekeeping (housekeeping) Cast Members at Walt Disney World? I have so much love for these friendly crews, who give us a clean place to come “home” to each night, crisp sheets to crawl into after magical days, and provide us with the best-smelling toiletries ever.

Lori, because housekeeping schedules can vary, my family always leaves a tip daily. Many Guests find it easier to leave one tip at the end of their stay, which is also acceptable, but I feel better knowing that if I leave it daily, it will go directly to the person who cleaned my room that day. Please know that tipping is never required, but it’s a great way to show appreciation for these hard-working Cast Members.

Since we’re talking about appreciating the Cast Members who make our Walt Disney World stays magical, did you know that you can share your thank yous and positive feedback on Twitter? Tweet your appreciation to @WDWToday using the hashtag #CastCompliment. They will pass along your thanks to both the Cast Member and their supervisor. It’s one of my favorite ways to sprinkle pixie dust!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
