Ahoy there, Cara!
Welcome Home and thank you so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. Cara, don't you just love the flexibility of
Disney Vacation Club Membership? Having the option to use Vacation Points to sail into the great wide somewhere sure adds a whole new world to Membership. We have done this a few times and it has been a fantastic use of our Disney Vacation Club Points.
Cara, first, you will want to peruse the Disney Vacation Club website to review all of the upcoming sailing dates on Disney Cruise Line Cruises. To do this, you can go to the "Destinations" tab and select
Disney Cruise Line. Then click on the blue button that says
"View All Points Charts." Here is where you can check out the range of Disney Cruise Line cruise options and when you click on them, you will see the Vacation Points charts for those sailings.
Once you select the one you are interested in, you can call Member Services who can check availability and if available, can convert your Disney Vacation Club Points into Reservation Points and make the booking for you. One thing to note is that there is a one-time, non-refundable $95 reservation fee (subject to change) for the booking.
I have a special tip for you, Cara. Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members have a wide variety of
Disney Vacation Club discounts available to them, even on the Disney cruise! Be sure and check these out before your sailing as it will certainly add some extra pixie dust to your vacation.
I hope this helps you, Cara! If you have any additional questions, sail back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
