Ahoy, April! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer your Disney vacation planning questions and set you on course for smooth sailing with Disney Cruise Line.
The
panelists at planDisney are actually regular guests just like you who answer the submitted questions based on our own Disney travel experiences. We are not travel agents, so unfortunately we cannot help you plan your entire cruise. However, we are here to help answer any specific questions that may arise as you plan your family’s perfect trip and get ready to set sail where magic meets the sea.
Since it sounds like you are just getting started, let me give you a few suggestions of where to begin the planning process. First, you need to decide the timeframe that your family would be able to sail, which will significantly reduce the number of itineraries you have to choose from. Disney Cruise Line recently released the
Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, so booking is currently available for any time in 2027 that fits your schedule. Once you know when you want to sail, you will then need to figure out where you want to sail. You can use the “Plan a Cruise” feature on the main website and narrow down the options by using the filters. Start by clicking on the “
Plan a Cruise” tab at the top, then click on each of the white boxes labeled “Leaving,” “Sailing to,” and “Departing from” to make your selections. You can also indicate how many staterooms you are looking for and how many guests will be in each stateroom before clicking on the blue “View Dates” button.
Speaking of staterooms, you will definitely need multiple staterooms to accommodate your party of 10. Disney Cruise Line offers four different
stateroom categories: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge. The exact offerings vary by ship, but even the largest suites would not be large enough for your entire family. That means that you will need to decide who will be staying in each stateroom that you book and whether or not a
connecting stateroom option would be helpful.
I love sailing with Disney Cruise Line because it gives you the freedom to explore new ports of call, while enjoying the magic of Disney in a whole new way. Although planDisney cannot book your cruise for you, we are more than happy to answer any questions that come up as you navigate the booking process. Please feel free to reach back out to us at any time. Happy sailing!
