Hi Yushi and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are extra-magical! After the last
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year, December 21 this year, some of the Holiday extras continue for all guests. You will not need a Special Event ticket to enjoy the fireworks on December 22. The special Holiday Fireworks show, Holiday Wishes-Celebrate the Spirit of the Season, will be shown to close the day at Magic Kingdom Park. The closing time is 10 p.m. which is also the time the fireworks will begin.
It's expected you will stay to enjoy the fireworks show. In my experience, shops have remained open past closing time to give last-minute shoppers a chance to make their purchases. Attractions will close at 10 p.m. Generally, if you are in line for an attraction at closing time, they will allow you to finish your wait and enjoy the attraction. However, I would be front and center at Cinderella Castle waiting for the show to begin!
Yushi, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
