How does it work as far as ordering food for my 2-year old on the Disney Dining Plan? I don't want to have to pay a ton of extra money if there is a special way to get around it, since he is a light eater to begin with.

    Hey Melissa!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question about the Disney Dining Plan. As you know, the Disney Dining Plan is not available to Guests under three years of age. But not to worry; you will not have to pay a lot of money out of pocket for your little one. In fact, there are some great money-saving options for your two-year-old!

If you're dining at a Table-Service buffet or family-style restaurant, your two-year-old can dine for free and have his own plate, drink and dessert! This means you can visit restaurants like Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park, Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and your little one can dine for free! Those are just a few examples; here's a link to the buffet and family-style dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort.

At Quick-Service locations or Table-Service restaurants where you order from a menu, your son is welcome to share from your plate. You mentioned that your son is a light eater, so this will probably work well. However, if your son needs a bit more food, you can just order off the menu for him and pay out-of-pocket for any extra items that he needs.

I hope this helps with your planning, Melissa! Please stop back again soon if you have any additional questions!

    Wishing you magical memories,
    Erin
