I have to take work calls while at Magic kingdom and animal kingdom, where is the best place for a quiet spot?

Hi Marissa, and thanks for stopping by planDisney!

I’ve had my fair share of working on-the-go, so I’m just your gal to answer your question about getting down to business while on vacation. To be honest, I have never taken any phone calls at my Happy Place. However, throughout the years, I’ve created a short list of spots around the theme parks that would be practically perfect for working remotely.

At Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend grabbing a DOLE Whip from Aloha Isle, and then zig-zagging over to a usually uncrowded seating area at Tortuga Tavern near the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. You’ll know that you’re in the right place if you see a Spanish-style staircase; it’s quite beautiful. For good measure, I also recommend moseying over to Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland. After a short raft ride, you’ll find yourself on a virtually empty island with ample seating in the back near the currently closed Aunt Polly’s quick-service restaurant. There, you can take your work calls with a Haunted Mansion backdrop. How spooktacular!

Now, let’s move on to my favorite theme park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You will be surprised by how many quiet spots you’ll find while ambling around. First, in DinoLand, U.S.A across from TriceraTop Spin, there are benches near the construction walls that would be perfect for a phone call. There may be some background noise of the nearby carnival games, but it’s a pretty secluded location. Also, sometimes the Harambe Market in Africa is closed for the day. This would make for a quiet work area, with the occasional whistle-blowing train passing by. And speaking of trains, that unique ride on the Wildlife Express Train through the backstage area will take you to the Conservation Station, another contender for what you need.

AN EXTRA GEM: If you need it, keep in mind that Walt Disney World Resort offers free wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) across its property. It may be just what you need to make sure you can successfully complete your calls and meetings. Also, bring along a trusty pair of noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones. How could anyone ever know that you’re living your best life at the Most Magical Place on Earth?

The best part about taking work calls at the Disney Parks? When you’re done, you will be steps away from classic attractions and yummy snacks. I hope that everything goes smoothly and that you have an unforgettable vacation, Marissa! If you have any other questions, please revisit us here at planDisney.

    Magic always,
