Any word on when dining plan will be back

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Dianna. I see that you have a vacation planned to the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short months. I bet you are getting so excited!

Dianna, the Disney Dining Plan is such a fan favorite and I know everyone is so excited to know when it is coming back. Unfortunately, we have not been updated yet with a timeframe for its return. However, we do know that it is indeed coming back to us in the future. The Disney Parks Blog released an article not too long ago acknowledging that they know it's wildly popular and reassuring all of us Guests that it will be back. They just aren't sure of a release date yet. When there is more information to be had, we will be able to find all of those details over on the Disney Parks Blog. I think we will see the Disney Dining Plan return when most, if not all, of the Walt Disney World restaurants have reopened. We are returning to a world of magic more and more every day so I don't expect it to be too much longer. If the Disney Dining Plan does return before your vacation later this year, I am certain you'll be able to add it to your vacation package. Previously, Guests had up to 48 hours prior to their check-in day to add the Disney Dining Plan on so I am sure it will be something like this again.

Until then, I've liked using Disney Gift Cards in lieu of the Disney Dining Plan. By using gift cards, everything is still paid for ahead of time and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. So I can budget a certain amount for dining and feel comfortable when getting that splurgy dinner knowing that it is paid and budgeted for ahead of time.

I'm sorry I don't have more information for you, it is kind of a waiting game right now. But if you have any other questions, I'd love for you to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
