Annual Passholder family!
Aside from the great savings that you mention, we also were drawn to the many
passholder benefits. We love the merchandise discounts and the included digital
PhotoPass photos! At this time, we do not yet know when sales of Annual Passes might resume. Keep your eye on the
operational updates since any updates to Annual Pass sales should be noted there.
If you purchase
theme park tickets for your upcoming trip and Annual Passes go on sale just prior to your trip, stop by Guest Relations on your first day headed to the parks and inquire about applying the cost of those tickets to an Annual Pass. I did call to check with a Cast Member. Since Annual Pass sales are temporarily paused, she could not confirm the procedure to upgrade tickets to Annual Passes, but, in the past, it was a possibility. What and how you may be able to upgrade may also depend on the type of theme park tickets you purchase and the type of Annual Passes you select.
Having an Annual Pass has certainly changed the way we vacation. We purchased Disney Platinum Passes so that we would not have any blackout dates. When we could visit more than one park in a day, we loved that we could visit one park in the morning and then drop by another park to eat dinner or pick up a souvenir.
Christie, waiting is not my favorite activity, so I understand how concerned you might be the closer it gets to needing to make a decision, especially since you need to make park pass reservations in the
