We have a woods view, bunk room at WL. Any recomendations for location to request? We loved a patio room at Poly, but wondering if upper floor would be better here. We are going to MK twice and to HS once so we also need to consider transportation. THX

    Hi Jennifer!

I love the rooms with bunk beds!  I think every resort should have them; they make it seem like you have more space in your room.  I definitely would go with an upper floor room, especially if you have members of your party who want to go to sleep relatively early.  That's because the Wilderness Lodge lobby can be noisy, especially when dinner is being served in the nearby Whispering Canyon Cafe.  Be sure to avoid rooms on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors numbered 70-99 as those definitely pick up the noise from Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Besides that, I think all of the rooms with a woodlands view are great; there are very few that overlook service roads, etc.

You'll catch the boat to the Magic Kingdom out back, and you'll catch the buses to everywhere else in front and off to one side of the hotel (between the lodge proper and the Villas).

Speaking of Whispering Canyon Cafe, be sure to make a reservation for it.  It's one of my family's favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World.  Reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

    Enjoy!
