Well, howdy, Matthew, and welcome to planDisney, where you've got a friend in me (and all the other panelists)! We're thrilled to be a part of your Disneyland Resort adventure planning. You sound like a planner like the rest of us, so you’ll fit right in!
You're right, deciding where to eat is an important part of any Disney vacation—and in my opinion, the most important! The Disneyland Resort is filled with culinary delights that can satisfy even the most adventurous palates, whether you're hankering for a full sit-down meal fit for a king or a quick bite to keep your energy up as you dash from one attraction to another like Dash himself!
Now, about those dining reservations... you're not seeing any availability yet because, just like Cinderella's magic, they appear at just the right time—60 days in advance, to be exact! Since your trip is in late May, you're a little early to the ball. Mark your calendar for late March, and you'll be able to view available dining experiences faster than you can say "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!". You can snag those reservations on the
Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland mobile app—just tap that magical plus sign (+) and select "Check Dining Availability".
Have you given any thought to where you might like to dine yet, Matthew? If not, allow me to sprinkle a little pixie dust and offer some practically perfect suggestions! If you find yourself in
Disneyland Park, I highly recommend lunch at
Carnation Cafe. You can enjoy sandwiches, burgers, and even chili that was inspired by Walt Disney’s favorite recipe—it's sure to warm your heart like a hug from a beloved friend!
Over at
Disney California Adventure Park,
Lamplight Lounge is a shining star—or should I say, a playful lamp! Perched right on the water, it's the perfect spot to watch the Incredicoaster zoom by like a superhero on a mission. And, oh boy, don’t forget to try those potato skins—so tasty!
For a breakfast that's as magical as a fairy tale, I suggest moseying on over to
Storytellers Cafe for Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. It's a Character Dining experience where you might just find yourself sharing a Mickey Mouse waffle with the main mouse himself and his pals!
And finally, over in the
Downtown Disney District, you simply must pop into the brand new
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. That’s on my list of places to visit on my next trip. It looks as delightful as a dream come true, and it seems like the perfect place to grab a sweet treat or pick up some goodies to take home.
I hope this helps you plan your dining, Matthew! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help make your trip as magical as can be! To infinity... and beyond!
