Hey Howdy Hey Tommy and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question about Disability Access Service (DAS) for your upcoming trip. I will be happy to provide you with more information so you can plan accordingly for your upcoming trip.

One of the best parts about a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is that it is a Magical place that the whole family can enjoy. Disney goes above and beyond to make sure these Magical vacations are accessible for the whole family including those with disabilities and special needs in the parks. With DAS, you can apply between 2 and 30 days before your date of arrival online. You can register online and request a video chat with a Cast Member. With this chat, the Cast Member will discuss your needs with you and then determine if you qualify for DAS. You are also more than welcome to apply once onsite at Guest Relations at the front of each theme park

If you are approved for DAS, you will have the ability to request return times for attractions through your My Disney Experience account or by visiting the entrance to the attraction you want to experience and talking with a Cast Member. You can do this for yourself and your immediate travel party so you all can stay together and enjoy the experience.

No visit to the theme parks is complete without viewing the nighttime fireworks show, especially Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom. If you want to avoid crowds, I have two places you might want to check out the show. If you are in the park, I would encourage you to find a seat somewhere in Fantasyland. Here you will be on the backside of the castle but when the fireworks go off, there are some around the castle as well as outside of the parks so you will be treated to a 360-degree view, which is truly spectacular and usually will have a lot less people around you. The next place for a very relaxed viewing would be from the sands of the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Any Guest is welcome to pull up some sand as the music will be piped in a you will see the show from afar. You won't want to leave too early as you will also be able to catch the Electrical Water Pageant parade on Seven Seas Lagoon. This is one of our favorite places to catch the show!

I hope you can interview early and get an answer on the status of DAS and get back to getting super excited for your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,
