Howdy Shawna!
Welcome back to planDisney.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is such a fun resort. Here you will experience the unforgettable fads of the 1950’s through the 1990s, with their fashions, catchphrases, and toys that defined the times. I can’t wait for you to experience all that this resort has to offer. Now, let’s get to your question so you can continue your planning.
Alrighty, so I see that you would like to get to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Disney’s Pop Century Resort, but the Skyliner might not be your jam. Well, Hakuna Matata, because I have a few alternatives that might work for you and help you avoid a rideshare service, saving you some money. So, since there is typically no bus service from Pop Century to Hollywood Studios or EPCOT, you can take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take another bus from there to Hollywood Studios. If, for some reason, the Skyliner becomes unavailable for travel, you will be able to find bus service from the resort to all of the parks, so I would keep an eye on the
My Disney Experience app for any updates.
Another option is to take the Friendship boat, which runs from Hollywood Studios to the opposite side of Crescent Lake, to EPCOT. The loading dock is off to the left once you exit Disney's Hollywood Studios, and boats leave about every 20 minutes. The boat will make a few stops at the Swan and Dolphin Resort, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Boardwalk Resort, before the final stop at EPCOT's International Gateway entrance, so you should plan 30-45 minutes for the trip, but it is a wonderful ride along the lake with plenty of sights to enjoy. From here, you can walk to the front of the park and take the bus back to Pop Century.
While you and your family are at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, I would encourage you to stop by
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining. This quick service restaurant is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is something here for everyone in your family, even the pickiest of eaters.
Shawna, I hope this helps with your plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please keep stopping by with any of your planning questions, and we’ll be happy to help you.
See ya real soon,
Robert
