I was wondering if my 2 year old can have a child's meal on the menu? Do they eat free?

    Hi Danielle,

My heart is full thinking about all of the precious memories you are about to create at Walt Disney World with your little one. My son was 2 years old when we took him to Walt Disney World for his first visit. Seeing Walt Disney World through the eyes of a toddler is simply magical. From their first ride on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, first time meeting Mickey Mouse, and first time soaring through the sky on Dumbo The Flying Elephant, it will be a trip filled with endless milestones and magical moments.

Danielle, you will be pleased to know that there are plenty of great options for dining at Walt Disney World with children. When dining at Table-Service buffet or family-style restaurants, all children under 3 who are dining with you are able to have their own plate and eat free. At Quick-Service or Table-Service restaurants where you order off a menu, you are welcome to either share your meal with any children under 3, or, if you prefer, you may pay for a meal off the children's menu.

When my children were young, we typically preferred dining at buffet-style restaurants which provided plenty of options for fussy toddlers without limiting or restricting meal options for mom and dad. A few of our favorites included Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, and Tusker House Restaurant.

Hoping this provides some "food for thought" Danielle, as you countdown to your upcoming trip with your little Mouseketeer. Bon Appetit!
