I was wondering if World of Disney has birthday buttons? I go to Disneyland every year for my birthday, and unfortunately, I cannot go tomorrow. I just want to know if I can still get my button, please?

Hello there, Cindy! I’m thrilled to wish you a very happy birthday from the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to help make your day as magical as possible, so let’s get started!

Like you, I also visit the Disneyland Resort every year for my birthday. Unfortunately, that tradition had to hit pause this year since the theme parks were also closed on my birthday. However, I’m happy to report that you can still find some ways to sprinkle pixie dust on your birthday at Downtown Disney District, which just began a phased reopening last week! My family visited Downtown Disney last Friday, and we had a blast!

I have some great news about your birthday button, too! During our visit last week, we met up with some dear friends who were celebrating their son’s birthday, and they picked up a complimentary birthday button for him at Marceline’s Confectionery! So, I recommend stopping by there, World of Disney, or any Disney-owned store to pick up your button. Just keep in mind that Cast Members aren’t able to write your name on the birthday button at this time, so, I recommend bringing your own Sharpie marker if you’d like to have your name added to your button.

Both World of Disney and Marceline’s Confectionery are utilizing a mobile wait list system as needed to help manage the number of Guests shopping at one time. To get on a wait list, simply give a Cast Member your name and mobile number to receive a text message when you're able to return. We used this system at World of Disney on Friday, and it saved us so much time!

Before your visit, don’t forget to check this page to find out everything you’ll need to know for a successful birthday adventure at Downtown Disney District. Also, be sure to bring a face covering with ties or ear loops for yourself and any Guests age 2 and older. To help you map out your visit, here’s a link to the shopping and dining locations that are currently open. You can also make dining reservations ahead of time for Naples Ristorante e Bar and UVA Bar & Cafe, which will also guarantee parking in the Simba Parking Lot on a busier day.

Last but not least, don’t forget to treat yourself to some of the adorable new merchandise at World of Disney honoring the 65th anniversary of Disneyland Park! I’m obsessed with the “Happiest Place on Earth” Spirit Jersey!

On behalf of the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we wish you a magical, pixie-dusted birthday, Cindy!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
