Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for bringing your trip planning question to planDisney. My family regularly chooses a two-bedroom villa for our multigenerational
Walt Disney World Resort vacations. We enjoy the separate living and sleeping spaces, the ability to cook our own eggs and Mickey pancakes for breakfast, and the in-room laundry, which means I have fewer things to pack and more room for souvenEARS!
All
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are currently accepting new reservations and booking at full capacity. Most two-bedroom villas open for booking 10-11 months in advance, whereas regular rooms and suites can be booked up to 499 days in advance. Late August is the perfect time for families to experience one last summer adventure together, which could explain the limited availability you're seeing. A search for a seven-night stay in a two-bedroom villa on your arrival date currently shows availability at
Disney's Riviera Resort,
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and
Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The resort reservation website is a live booking engine so you are always seeing the most current availability. Availability changes in real-time by the minute so I encourage you to check back regularly if you can't find what you're looking for.
In my experience, a call to a friendly Cast Member at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations number gives you a better idea of availability across your trip dates. There is also a helpful chat feature in the top right area of the
Help Center webpage that gives you direct access to a Cast Member who can help search availability. Just now, a Cast Member was able to share with me via the chat that there is currently some two-night and four-night availability of two-bedroom villas at additional resorts, which opens up multiple possibilities for a split stay during your vacation. Split stays are fun because they allow you to experience the perks and amenities at multiple Disney Resorts Collection hotels. When booking a split stay, you could book the first stay as a package with the room tickets and Memory Maker (if desired), then the second leg as a "room only" stay. The deposit for a package is currently $200USD and the deposit for a room-only stay is equivalent to a single night's stay.
I hope you find what you're looking for and are able to book a magical stay during
The World's Most Magical Celebration. The magic is calling and the planDisney panelists are here to help you answer the call.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
