Hi Isabela,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love hearing that you’re planning on resort hopping during your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. One of my family’s favorite things to do is explore
resorts – it’s so much fun to take in all the theming, Disney details, and hidden Mickeys, and there are often unique recreation experiences at each resort, so be sure to stop at the front desk to ask a Cast Member if there’s anything special going on during your visit.
Your idea of collecting a resort-specific postcard is fabulous! I’m going to be honest with you: I don’t recall seeing postcards that are specific to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Usually the selection is more generic, featuring the Disney icons like
Cinderella Castle, the Disney Princesses, or Mickey Mouse. Definitely stop by the resort’s gift shop and ask a Cast Member about postcards, because they know the shop’s merchandise and inventory does change all the time.
Isabela, my family collects Walt Disney World Resort hotel magnets – we purchase one at each resort where we stay. Sometimes the magnets aren’t easy to find, but I’ve always had luck asking a Cast Member. Some of my fellow Panelists collect resort-specific mugs – seeing those mugs in their social media posts always brings a smile to my face.
One last tip: when resort hopping, my family loves to sample a special treat that’s specific to that resort hotel. Disney has really gone all out with specialty cupcakes lately, and some resorts have unique food items, like the
beignets at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter.
I hope you have so much fun resort hopping, Isabela, and that you find the perfect souvenir!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
