I was wondering do the WDW resorts still have scavenger hunts ? I thought it would be a fun activity to do as a family?

Hi Barbara and welcome to planDisney!

I love the little extras you can find around Walt Disney World, especially when they are at your own Disney Resort hotel!  This is a great question and one I have recent experience with.

We had a split stay a couple of weeks ago and visited a few Disney Resort hotels.  My daughter and her friends did the Resort hotel scavenger hunts at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort and also Disney's Riviera Resort.  We were told that all Disney Resort hotels have a version of a scavenger hunt, so it's definitely worth asking the front desk of where you are staying.  Each Resort hotel gave out a different prize that was unique to that Resort, so my daughter is excited to go on the "hunt" at more locations.  There is a scavenger hunt for the Disney Skyliner as well that you can pick up at any of the Resort hotels along the Skyliner.  We got ours at Disney's Riviera Resort, but didn't have time to participate on our last trip.

If you're visiting Walt Disney World during one of the EPCOT festivals, like the current EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you can participate in a World Showcase scavenger hunt also.  Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt is currently going on where you have to seek for Remy around the "world".  The prize for a completed scavenger hunt map is a really cute insulated lunch bag.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Happy hunting!
