    Hi Moms..........was wondering going to wdw Aug 13-17!Res at California Grill on 14 to watch wishes but we r DVC members and want to take advantage of the new perk at the top Of The World Lounge! We are staying at AKL KV.How early should we arrive?

    Mary, that is a fantastic plan!

    This new perk is really a dream come true for many DVC Members, in allowing DVC Members who are staying in a WDW resort (not just those staying at BLT) and their Guests entrance into the Lounge. At the time of this writing, the dates of this perk are from July 8th through August 25th.

    We've gotten to the Lounge check-in at the lobby of BLT at least an hour prior to the start of Wishes, simply because I want to be sure that we get in, get a nice table, with drinks and appetizers already ordered by the time the show begins. Even on July 3rd, with the even more spectacular Celebrate America Fireworks blast off, we had no problem getting into the Lounge and finding great viewing locations.

    When I called Member Services to inquire about this new perk, I was told that Members may make a reservation to go to the Lounge, and will need to provide their Key to the World Card which clearly shows that they are DVC Members. If your KTTWC doesn't identify you as a DVC Member, show your DVC Membership Card, as well as your KTTWC (and I always bring a photo ID.) Just as was the case previously, "access is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis."

    Stop at the lobby of BLT on your way to your dinner reservation at California Grill. Ask the Cast Member there if this new program has caused a rush pre-show time and for advice on arrival time that night (if it's possible, put your name on the list that night for after dinner. It surely couldn't hurt to ask!) Then, after your dinner, head straight to BLT's lobby where you'll be escorted to the special elevator up to the 16th floor and your luxurious, exclusive view of Wishes!
