Hi, I was wondering, has Walt Disney World offered a free Dining Plan during the Aug/Sept months over the past few years? If so, and IF they offer it this year, what happens if I have already booked rooms/tickets/ and dining plan during that time?

Nicole, Disney has offered the dining plan as a free incentive to book a Magic Your Way package during August and September of the last few years. My family was able to take advantage of the great discount last year when we visited in September. Our package had already been booked when the announcement came, but that didn't prevent us from having the discount code applied to our reservation once it became available. We simply called Disney reservations at 407-WDW-MAGIC and asked to have the code applied to our package.  Of course, the offer was subject to availability.  Luckily, there was availability in the resort we were booked for and our vacation dates lined up with the offer.  We were able to have the code applied to our existing reservation.  Disney sent us updated paperwork that included the details of our newly added dining plan.

Obviously, free dining has not been announced for this year, and there is no guarantee that it will be offered.  If it is though, I would recommend calling and asking to have free dining added to your reservation.  Good luck!
