Hi, was wondering while waiting in the terminal to board ship is there anything for the kids (4 & 6) to do or eat there? We are scheduled to arrive that day at 11:30. We will be sailing on the Dream right after Christmas and so excited! Thanks.

    Ahoy Trisha,

I have been in the terminal at Port Canaveral twice this past year waiting to board the beautiful Disney Dream.  Your children will have cartoons to watch on television monitors throughout the terminal waiting areas and they will have periodic opportunities to meet and have pictures with Disney characters.  I would, however, suggest that you bring some additional entertainment for each child.  Perhaps they could write postcards to family members as they wait.  Or maybe they'll want to bring a game they just received from Santa to help them pass their time as they wait to board.

I also recommend that your family enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the terminal at Port Canaveral.  The first food you will encounter will be onboard the Dream.  They will have lovely lunch options available to you upon your embarkation.  If your kids are like my son, you may want to have some pretzels or fruit in your day bag to offset "the munchies" that may overcome them as they await boarding instructions.

Wishing you and your family a truly magical voyage on the Disney Dream!
