Am wondering if the VIP seating for candlelight processional will really save us wait time? Will be visiting WDW the week after Thanksgiving and am told crowds will be less.

Are you referring to one of the dinner packages, Marnie?  If so, I believe that it would save you some time.  Not only that, but it would also guarantee you a seat closer to the stage.  Guests not participating in the dinner package are encouraged to line up an hour before the start of the show.  Last year--when my family visited during a less crowded time period--we waited over an hour for the first showing of the Candlelight Processional.  Still, our seats were not as close to the stage as those who had purchased a dinner package.  That said, it certainly is feasible to wait in line for the show rather than buy the package and when you get right down to it, there really isn't a bad seat in the house.  Lining up will require about twice as much wait time and you likely won't get seats right up front.  If you do decide to wait it out, I definitely recommend the earliest show because that way you won't have to hear the entire show taking place while you're in line and it'll still be a surprise when you see it.  Enjoy!
