Hi! Just wondering, when using the magical express to Orlando, does our luggage need the yellow tag and the tag we get when checking it at the airport with our airline (we're going southwest) or only the yellow tag? Thank you!

    Hi Stephanie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for an incredible Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I'm happy to help you with your question! Disney's Magical Express is a fantastic way to start your vacation because it makes it so easy to start your trip. It's so nice to go right from the airplane to your magical motor coach for your ride to Walt Disney World Resort and not have to worry about rental cars, directions or parking.

Disney's Magical Express luggage delivery service will definitely make your arrival at Orlando International Airport a breeze because your checked luggage will be magically delivered to your Disney Resort hotel room. When you get off the plan, you can simply head to the Disney's Magical Express terminal in the airport and skip baggage claim! In order to participate in Disney's Magical Express luggage delivery service, you will need to attach the yellow luggage tags to all of your checked luggage prior to checking it with the airline. When you check your luggage in at the airport, the airline will then add the standard airport luggage tag to each of your bags. The standard airline luggage tag will ensure that your bags get from your home airport to Orlando International Airport and the yellow luggage tags will be used once your bags arrive at Orlando International Airport to direct them to your Disney Resort hotel room. So you definitely want both tags on each of your checked bags so they can make their journey to your vacation.

Be sure to pack your medications and any other essentials you will need in your first few hours at Walt Disney World Resort in your carry-on bags as your checked luggage can take up to three hours to arrive via the luggage delivery service. Let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
