Hi Andrea!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about one of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation - dining!
I love that you're thinking ahead of ways to make your vacation easier - by purchasing gift cards ahead of time to pay for some of your meals! I always stock up on Disney Gift Cards before a Walt Disney World vacation. I use them to pay for purchases during my visit, or to pay down any balance I've accrued when using my MagicBand to charge purchases to my WDW Resort hotel room.
You'll be happy to know that Landry's gift cards can be redeemed at any of the Landry's family of restaurants across the United States, and that includes Walt Disney World Resort! T-REX Restaurant and Rainforest Cafe are included in the Landry's family, and your gift cards should be welcomed at both. Disney Gift Cards are also an acceptable form of payment at both restaurants.
My family loves eating at
Rainforest Cafe! It's such a fun atmosphere, and the gift shop is awesome. My kids usually order something traditionally American like cheeseburgers, while my husband and I lean toward dishes with a more tropical flair. My favorite is the Caribbean Coconut Fried Shrimp. It's served with a delicious mango sauce that I seriously can't get enough of.
We've also enjoyed dining at
T-REX Restaurant, where my daughter enjoyed visiting the Dino-Store and Build-A-Dino® By Build-A-Bear Workshop®! She was able to create her own plush pet dinosaur as a cute souvenir.
I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you have before your trip. We're happy to help! - Diane W.
