Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tara!
The answer to your question is a resounding YES! You may certainly use traveler's cheques at the Walt Disney World Resort. I suggest cashing them with the
Lobby Concierge, or at the
Front Desk, of your
Disney Resort hotel. Traveler's checks must be issued in U.S. dollars, and a valid photo ID is required to cash them.
Forms of payment widely accepted at the Walt Disney World Resort include the following:
• Cash (U.S. dollars)
• Disney® Visa® Card
• Visa®
• MasterCard®
• American Express®
• Discover® Card
• Diners Club Charge Card
• JCB (Japan Credit Bureau)
• Disney Gift Card
• Disney Dream Reward Dollars®
• Disney Visa Instant Credit
I recommend using
Disney Gift Cards instead. Just as traveler's cheques, Disney Gift Cards do not expire, nor do they incur any user fees. They are available in set amounts from $25 to $500 and can be reloaded at many locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Gift Cards are accepted at all Disney owned-and-operated locations authorizing the use of credit cards. That means you may pay for recreation, merchandise, dining experiences, spa experiences, admission tickets, and so much more!
I hope you found this information useful, Tara. Please visit us again soon with more Disney vacation planning questions!
Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
