Hey there, Michelle. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I noticed that your Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner. I bet you are getting so excited! I think you'll be happy to know that most of the complimentary transportation to and from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is up and running.
Complimentary
bus transportation is running from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks starting 45 minutes prior to park opening until about an hour after the park closes. Because of physical distancing, the buses are not being filled to capacity so you'll want to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. If you are planning on park hopping,
which officially returned at the start of this year, buses are currently running between all of the parks for your convenience. To board a park hopping bus, however, you will need to show a valid theme park ticket with the park hopping option to a Cast Member working at the bus stop before being allowed to board the bus. This is all connected to your MagicBand through your MyDisneyExperience account. It's just a quick verification scan and then you'll be on your way.
Disney's water transportation is also available right now at Walt Disney World. If you are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows or at Disney's Wilderness Lodge you can take a water taxi over to the Magic Kingdom Park and back again. Water service is also available to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios from Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.
The Disney Skyliner is also up and running and if you haven't had a chance to fly high in the sky, I absolutely recommend it. It's a lot of fun! The Disney Skyliner connects several resorts to Disney's Hollywood Studios and to the back entrance of Epcot, the International Gateway. The Disney Skyliner is currently servicing Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Riviera Resort.
The monorail is also whisking Guests off to destinations all around Walt Disney World but does offer a more modified schedule at this time. Currently, the monorail line that services Epcot is under construction and is not being offered. The resort line that makes stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom Theme Park is running but with some modifications. The monorail is not stopping at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at this time due to refurbishments going on. Guests staying at that resort or wanting to visit can walk to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center for the monorail service.
I hope this helps get you around Walt Disney World when you visit next week. If you have any other questions before your trip, please do come back and ask. Have fun!
