Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    I was wondering what time the playground at Disney animal kingdom lodge opens for the day? We are staying there in the middle of July. I know the pools open around 10 but looking for something to do with the 4 kids before the pool opens

    Welcome to planDisney! I find it incredibly frustrating when kids never want to wake up on school days but are up at the crack of dawn on vacation! It

    The Hakuna Matata Playground has no posted operating hours but if it is not well lit I suspect the unofficial operation is only from dawn to dusk. It's a pretty good playground for little ones to get their wiggles out until the pool opens and its location near the Uzima Springs Pool is perfect. If the weather is poor you can also visit Pumbaa's Fun & Games Arcade which opens at 8 AM. I love how the arcade is near The Mara which is great for a quick breakfast! Don't forget that you can do Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering at this location and it's a great way to have the food ready as soon as you arrive. The Kilimanjaro Bowl is the highlight of this place and hearty enough to share in my opinion.
